The year is coming to a close, so it's a great time to highlight some of the exciting developments we've been working on. We'll admit we're not the best at sharing our progress, so many of these updates might come as a surprise to you. We've been incredibly busy over the past few months, adding numerous new features to the Resilience Web platform, which remains free for everyone to use.
Some highlights include:
This is a feature many of you have been requesting. We want the information on Resilience Web to be as accurate as possible, but we don't want the entire burden of keeping everything up to date to fall solely on our small teams of web maintainers.
That's why we developed a feature that allows anyone to sign up and seamlessly suggest edits to listings. These proposed changes enter a Pending state, where they are carefully reviewed by a web maintainer and then either Accepted or Rejected.
See more about how this feature works in our knowledgebase.
Another highly requested feature, this marks the beginning of some truly exciting work that will come to fruition in 2025. Web maintainers will have noticed the new map component on the listing edit page, which enables you to set a location for each listing. When a location or address is specified, it will be displayed on the individual listing page as shown below.
In 2025, we'll be developing a comprehensive map view that displays all listings in one place. Stay tuned for this upcoming feature!
We kindly ask that you add locations to as many listings as possible. If a listing has no physical location, please check the "No physical location" checkbox. This will help us create the map view and is currently the primary requirement for building this feature.
If you're able, please donate via our Open Collective to keep the project alive. We're always eager to hear your feedback and ideas. Our core mission remains providing a platform that connects people working to make the world a better place. If you have suggestions that could help us advance this goal, please get in touch.
We've been working tirelessly to build this much-loved platform and would love to see it reach more people. If you know individuals or organizations who might find Resilience Web useful, please spread the word. Since we don't have resources for marketing or advertisements, we depend on word-of-mouth sharing from supporters like you.
And don't forget to take some time in the coming weeks to rest and recharge before another year of working towards a better future for everyone. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year! β¨
Until next time π
With love and hope for a better future,
Diner and the Resilience Web team
